Ripi Rosso Umbria

Wine sourced from the Penna in Teverina vineyard, harvested from a mixed planting of Ciliegiolo, Merlot, and Cabernet grapes. The soil sits at 250 metres above sea level and is medium-textured clay. The vineyard is 20 years old, trained in Guyot with a yield of between 700 and 800 grams per vine. The grapes are harvested by hand and collected in 20 kg crates.

Fermentation is spontaneous and lasts approximately 6 to 10 days. After racking, the wine refines in stainless steel on its fine lees for around 6 months. Following bottling, Ripi remains in our cellars for a further 12 months. Annual production ranges from 3,500 to 7,000 bottles.
